Question: Free writing

I wonder if I'm the only persons who strive to outdo her twin brother. I am envious of my sibling brother and even dread performing below his expectation. Still, it is not clear whether jealous or expectations of my sibling brother guided my thinking. At times I would be caught between fighting to outdoing my brother and empathizing with him based on his expectations on me. Despite the desire to outdo my brother, I was saddened whenever my brother underperformed. How can the best be outdone? I would wonder. Being siblings came along with admirations and struggles to better your counterpart. The believed that if not careful I would disappoint my sibling brother for my performance would fall below expectations. This was a source of motivation because the best was sought after in any effort engaged. I might never know if I am the only sibling who is envious of their twin siblings. But one thing is for sure, I sought to attain the best in everything I did. However, now I wonder whether he views me under the same token. Am I in competition with him? Sometimes I hate myself for it (Eliot, 2014).

Planning

The first sentence should set the stage for the writing. The main theme of the essay can be underscored here to direct the audience through the work. The live event upon which the essay is based should then follow. The dilemmas experienced can be brought at this point. The writing should incorporate respective features to bring out different viewpoints under the theme of the discussion. Comparisons between the situation at the time and the present are another focal point that should be included. Another aspect that should be incorporated in the writing is the emotional aspects. It is imperative to highlight perceptions of the persona of the life experience.
