Assume you are human resource manager of a technical college operating in a South Pacific country. Your college administrator tells you that students have begun complaining about the quality of teaching and lesson delivery at the premises. Currently, teacher training at the college comprises of senior teachers and heads of departments acting as mentors to newer graduates on how to teach. Assuming that your training needs assessment indicates an urgent need for training of new and numerous existing teachers at your college. As part of the training process, discuss in detail the first step of the instructional design model the human resource (HR) department could initiate to address the performance discrepancy amongst teachers. Furthermore, explain how school management could support the intended training for the new recruits and existing teachers.
