You should do the same in return. Don't forget that you will be copying me with all assignments; however, you DO NOT have to copy me if you send other emails not related to assignments. These are regular assignments to practice your writing skills and take the place of the extra writing assignments in a regular English 108 class. Therefore, you should always put your best writing effort in to these assignments. The minimum word count for each assignment is always stated. Spelling and mechanics will also affect your grade. Therefore, always do your best writing. "A" and "B" grades will be given to those writings that show depth of thought and development of writing. See Grading of Assignments and Research Papers at the beginning of the syllabus.
Email classmate assignments are expository writing that help you practice your writing skills, taking the place of writing longer research papers. These should be structured as short, expository essays, and should show your best writing skills in introducing and concluding your subject, paragraphing with good supporting details, and transitions-those skills that you learned in English 107. Your writing should show personality and style-this is your chance to write more creatively!
These Email classmate writings should be written in WORD so that you can revise and spell check your writings. If you write directly on the email system and it goes down, everything that you have written will be lost. You can cut and paste your writing to the email message and eliminate the danger and frustration of lost material.
