Project Management Assignment - An individual presentation
Assignment details are as follows:
Assignment Purpose and Objective - The aim of the assignment is to learn to present clearly the scope of works to their clients and to communicate a proposed project management plan. This assignment builds on the previous two assignments and is supported by selected materials from the lectures, class notes, online exercises and reading references.
To meet the requirements of this assignment a student as a Project Manager will need to address the following items in your presentation:
1. Discuss your understanding of the project.
2. Discuss assumptions and limitations of the project scope.
3. Client communication strategy.
4. Project scope/statement of work.
5. Project team/organisation structure.
6. Project management plan, project management frameworks.
7. Project risk assessment.
Submit a copy of all slides presentation (overheads) together with a copy of the Proposal/Expression of Interest document at the time of their presentation.
Presentation - Each student will make a maximum of 8-minute presentation (using 10-12 slides/overheads). The presentation together with copies of the submitted overheads and the selected Project Proposal/Expression of Interest will be the basis of the assessment.
An Individual Presentation (7 min) -
1. Your understanding of the Project (prepare 1- 2 slides to be able to describe the project).
2. Assumption and Limitations (or potential risks, which were already discussed in the assignment 1).
3. Key project driver (why this project should be done now? Briefly discuss the project's environment, shareholder, and stakeholders).
4. Project scope of work (prepare 1 slide to clearly present the scope of works).
s. Project team/organisation structure (was developed in the assignment 1 and 2).
6. Project implementation plan (briefly describe the project management plan, which was developed in the assignment 2, 1- 2 slides summary table).
7. Project risk assessment (prepare 1 slide demonstrating Risk Assessment Matrix).
