Dale is 24 years old and was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) about a year ago. Dale has been receiving support from his GP since his diagnosis and was making progress in managing the disorder.
Recently Dale has begun a new job. He is excited about the new work and is enjoying the different tasks he has been asked to do. However, Dale has found a number of his original symptoms are reoccurring as he struggles to adapt to his new environment.
He is becoming obsessive about ensuring switches around the office are turned off, while also counting and lining up his office supplies on his desk.
Dale is also a Christian, and he continually worries about how his new work is going to impact or impede on his ability to practice his faith. He finds that at times these worries cloud his mind and stop him from focusing on his work. He knows that these thoughts are unreasonable, but he can't seem to stop them.
Dale feels most comfortable in well-ordered and clean environments with little or no distraction
