Assessment - Essay
A critical evaluation of an infection prevention and control practice, procedure, or policy
You are being assessed on your ability to evaluate IPC practices, against a known standard/guidelines/literature, interpret those findings, design an appropriate intervention, supported by the literature, implement that intervention, and then evaluate whether those changes have been effective Get online assignment help from subject experts!
Think of the essay as a quality improvement project
Assessing an IPC practice means measuring current practice (what do you see? e.g. measure through an audit) against a standard, guidelines and/or relevant recent and scholarly literature (not Wikipedia or the course materials)
Devise a strategy to address the gaps in practice and discuss in detail how this might be agreed, resourced and implemented
How will the changes to practice be evaluated? How will you know if the strategies have been effective?
Repeat the audit that led to the identification of the problem
• The critical evaluation MUST relate to your place of work, but the essay does not need to be based on a real IPC problem and intervention
• The essay can be fictional (but must be a plausible scenario), demonstrating what you have learned during the course.
