Question: In today's society, recent graduates are faced with a challenge where they need a job in order to gain experience but need experience in order to get a job. In the current job market, field related experience is what every employer is looking for. XYZ College has decided to run the event aiming to provide students with an opportunity to have field related experience by organizing a multitalented competition where multiple programs coordinate with each other. The participants competing are evaluated based on intellectual curiosity and knowledge of the area of study. For instance, students from the architect department are assigned to construct a restaurant where the marketing students are assigned to advertise it. Students eligible to participate should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and should be enrolled in a three-year program. Students who have succeeded in the competition can add this experience on resumes and networking sites such as LinkedIn to increase their chance of getting hired. This event also allows students to develop independent learning skills such as time management, responsibility, organization, and communication as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
