Assessment Instructions
Presume that you have just been employed by your selected industry/organisation to manage the implementation of the recommended Project management software. Your final proposal should include the following:
Executive Summary: A one-page summary highlighting all significant items in the proposal (not included in the page limit).
Company Overview: A one-page overview of the company, its operations, and essential requirements for this project.
Project Outline: In your own words, provide an overview of the project, addressing its background, context, main objectives, and primary work packages.
Project Lifecycle and Work Packages: An outline of the main steps and work packages across the project lifecycle, establishing a baseline for identifying risks, project team, and requirements.
Resource Requirements: Detail the human, material, service, and approval resources needed for successful project delivery.
Additional Required Documents: Include the following original documents within your Word submission:
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Highlighting key tasks and elements of the project.
Gantt Chart: A detailed project schedule with a minimum of 20 tasks and a maximum of 40, showing levels, task dependencies, and timelines.
Scheduling Flowchart (Network Diagram): Illustrating task dependencies and the
project's critical path. (minimum 12 activities/tasks).
Risk Assessment Plan: Identifying and classifying risks with a likelihood and severity matrix, and providing a mitigation and action plan for the most critical risks.
As a professional report, your findings should be presented using matrix diagrams, tables, or other formats that support clear and concise communication and align with best practices in project management.
You must use at least ten (10) sources of information. These may include websites, social media sites, industry reports, census data, journal articles, and newspaper articles. These references should be presented as in-text citations and a reference list at the end of your written proposal (not included in the word limit). Wikipedia and other ‘popular' sites are not to be used.
