Question: You are part of a team in charge of a project to install CPOE at Northwoods Community Medical Center (NCMC). Assume that you have nine months to complete the project and a budget of $300,000 (the hardware and the software license itself will not be considered in the class). As you build your "team" the case does include salary information so be aware of what/who you can afford with the budget provided. You should use specific names from the case in your writing, and if you use additional employees, provide a name, describe their role and their annual salary based on information given or what is logical if you add a different job title. Also, be aware that you are provided more information than necessary for the project (in the book the project refers to a full EMR implementation and CPOE is one component of an already implemented EMR). As in a real facility, you must decide what information is necessary to use for the documents required throughout the upcoming assignments.
