Assignment:

Develop a presentation that promotes good health and shows a preventive approach to maintaining health. Ensure the presentation is short and straight to the point, audience appropriate and includes explanation of how your work role assists in this process of good health and preventative measures. This presentation can be performed in the workplace or in a simulated environment in front of the Assessor. Ensure the presentation includes the following criteria and evidence such as PowerPoint presentation is to be submitted for evidence to your Assessor.

You will be assessed on the following criteria:

• Knowledge and transferability of you roles, responsibilities and limitations of self and other allied health team members including nursing, medical and other personnel in promoting good health and preventive approaches to maintaining health.
• Knowledge of Therapy tasks and programs associated with particular client population
• Construction of education aids in accordance with allied health professionals instructions
• Skills in support and coaching of clients to achieve identified therapy goals under supervision of allied health professional
• Obtains information from relevant sources according to organisation policies and supervising allied health professional
• Concepts of holistic health as well being, rather than focusing on disease or its absence
• Noted presentation preparation and time can be allocated to the requirements of performing the activities outlined in the performance criteria of this unit during a period of at least 80 hours of work

This presentation is not straight diet and health information however. It needs to include your role in assisting clients with their health and well-being as well as key resources and programs that may assist your target audience?
