Part 1

Create a WBS for a project of interest, such as building a house or planning a wedding. You do not have to select one of those two. In fact I encourage you to be creative and come up with a different project. Use your imagination. Describe the level of detail that should be included and the format of the WBS. Make sure you describe the project and answer specific questions related to the scope and include work that must be done in the WBS. This means that you must select certain of the tasks and provide detailed task descriptions for them.

Part 2

Perform some outside research and find two examples of projects that suffered from scope creep. Try to determine why they suffered scope creep. Use specific actions, tools, or techniques discussed in this chapter that could have helped prevent or reduce the scope creep.
