Kernel and range
I don't understand this kernel and range stuff.
Determine the kernel and range of each of the following linear transformations from R3 into R3.
(a) L(x) = (x3, x2, x1)^T
(b) L(x) = (x1, x1, x1)^T
And determine the kernel and range of each of the following linear transformations from P3 into P3.
(a) L(p(x)) = xp'(x)
(b) L(p(x)) = p(0)x + p(1)
If the random variable z is the standard normal score, which of the following probabilities could easily be determined without
Probability distribution. The high school GPA of applicants for admission to a college program are recorded and relative frequencies are calculated for the categories.
A function of two variables f(x,y) is integrated over the square [0,2] x [-1,1]. ex: integral from 0 to 2 , integral from -1 to 1 f(x,y) dx dy. (I wanted to input integral symbols there but didn't know how).
Probability Concepts and the Standard Normal Distribution, What are some conditions under which business decisions are made using probability concepts? Provide at least two examples of subjective probability.
Find the probability of 14 or more widowed people in a random sample of 290 bowling league members?
What is the total defect rate? I came up with 6%. A randomly selected product was defective. What is the probability that it came from Plant A?
Show that if G is a 2-connected graph containing a vertex that is adjacent to at least three vertices of degree 2, then G is not hamiltonian.
The accompanying table shows the total cost of purchasing combinations of differently priced CDs. The types of CDs are labeled A, B, and C.
From the following augmented matrix, first write the system of equations that represents the augmented matrix and then create a real-world word problem that would represent these equations and their unknowns.
What is the probability that a randomly selected bike that did not pass inspection came from assembly line B?
Suppose that each of the players has a defined strength (all different), and the strongest player wins each match. then is it clear that the first prize goes to the strongest of all the players. what is the probability that the second prize goes t..
Probability- Considering Failure Rates, The records of Midwestern University show that in one semester, 38% of the students failed mathematics, 27% of the students failed physics
