Question: An HR manager wants to conduct a job analysis for the purposes of identifying the key thinking skills required to perform the job of an accountant, so that these skills can then be taught as part of the company's training programs and used to determine compensation levels for the job. An HR assistant at the company suggests using a job-oriented approach in which a job analyst observes the job and then asks job incumbents to complete a questionnaire.
