Intelligent Return and Sorter System

Project Purpose:

This intuitive system can help libraries increase efficiencies during the check-in and sorting processes, as returned items are automatically checked in with RFID or barcode tags and sorted to the appropriate bin location. Materials can be accurately checked-in and quickly returned to the shelf, helping to maximize the use of staff resources and ensure precise records.

Project Description:

Design anIntelligent, an affordable, efficient automated return and sorting system to automatically check in and separate library materials.

High-level project and product requirement:

This easy-to-use system includes RFID and/or barcode identification, RFID and/or electromagnetic (EM) security and up to 4 induction options, including indoor/outdoor and staff.

Summary Budget:

300,000 to cover the Machine cost (internal and external parts), IT system and project workers.

Initial Risks:

IT breakdown and errors.

Fixing the external device (cut the right size of the wall, wall should afford the devise weight, ect.

Preparing the location considering the needed dimensions.

Set the locations and get the approvals to set the outdoor parts.

Planning for the IT system and order the needed equipment

Get the orders and start fixing the device

Meet the IT engineers to set the system and hold a workshop to teach the employees.
