Pre-service teachers will develop a lesson/episode plan by using their theoretical understanding of mathematics learning for young learners (ULOs 1-2) and various teaching techniques with ethical understandings (ULOs 3-4).
Assessment: Design a learning plan/Report
Design a learning plan with a focus play-based teaching and learning experience in numeracy and mathematics education in one of the areas:
Spatial relationships
Patterns, relationships and changes
Data collecting and organising information
In this assignment, you are required to choose one of the mathematical areas and use the provided template to plan a play-based teaching and learning experience. Students may also refer to concepts related to applied mathematics while designing activities and learning outcomes.
This assignment can be submitted by a WORD document. This assessment criteria include:
Learning outcomes, Curriculum/Framework links, Theoretical connections, Physical space, Materials and resources
Learning activities
Organisation, presentation and following assignment requirement.
Academic Literacy, i.e. Correct spelling, grammar,
