1. Two angles are said to be complementary if their sum is ninety degrees. Suppose you have two complementary angles such that the second angle is 10 degrees larger than 3 times the measure of the first angle. Find the angles. Follow the problem solving method: variable dictionary, equation, solve, answer the question.

2. You are buying books as gifts. The discounted price on all sci fi books is 4.98 per book. The discounted price on children books is 3.38.  You have $156 to spend. If you need twice as many children books as sci fi books, how many of each can you buy without overspending. Set up an inequality to describe the problem, then solve and answer the questions.
