There is an opportunity to express your perspectives on tikanga in traditional and contemporary Maori society.

List B: creation narratives; canoe migrations; tangihanga; powhiri.

Explain: To account for a subject character, causes, results, implications, etc. by clearly stating and interpreting the relevant details.

Therefore there are essentially two parts to this essay question.

1. Describe the cultural concepts individually.

2. Explain these cultural concepts within their application to a particular context.
