As part of your systems analysis project, you are required to update the inventory information system of LOWCO Company. Here are five questions written by one of your systems analysis team members to interview the local manager of LOWCO, an outlet of a national discount chain, who has asked you to work on a management information system to provide inventory information.

1. Describe key decisions you are responsible for.
2. How well do your employees accept changes in the system?
3. Is the current system providing you with enough information to help you make decisions?
4. Do you have any problems with your current system?
5. What kind of output would you like to see? What type of format is preferred? (It would be good to have a current form on hand to discuss.)


a. Explain the steps of interview preparation?

c. Write a sentence explaining why it is preferable to conduct an interview in person rather than via email

Read the following scenario and answer the questions:

" I think I will be able to remember most everything he does," says Huda. Huda is about to interview the vice president of strategic planning of Aramco Company. Huda said that she has good memory to and it is much more important to listen to what the vice president will say than to observe what he does.

a. As you are now become systems analysis, persuade Huda that listening is not enough in interviews and that observing and recording those observation are also important.

b. Huda seems to have accepted your idea that observation is important but still doesn't know what to observe. Make a list of items and behavior to observe, and beside each item indicate what information Huda should hope to gain through observation of it.
