Child Development Portfolio
Part 1
Understanding childhood development is crucial for anyone who strives to work with children. During this class, you will make a portfolio assignment week by week. This week, choose one of the presentation tools to work with for the next five weeks. (It does not need to be the tool you used in Week 1, but you will stay with this week's tool until the end of the course.) By the end of the course, your portfolio will discuss all course learning outcomes, which are also tied to NAEYC learning standards. (Please note that in Week 5, you will add this project to the Google site you built in ECE312 or the ePortfolio you worked on in ECE101.)
Infant Case Study
Chloe is six months old. She lives with her mother and father; however, her father is in the Air Force and serves in another country nine months out of the year. Chloe's mother is a nurse at the local hospital. During the weekdays, Chloe attends Early Head Start. When not at school, she spends most of her time with her mother. Chloe enjoys it when her mother tickles her, and she laughs a lot. One of her favorite things to do is imitate her mother sticking out her tongue. Chloe also has many board books that she likes to put in her mouth. Chloe likes tummy time and rolls back and forth from her back to her stomach.
