Question

Does this anwer the question ? LEGO's commitment to (CSR) derives from significant ethical pressures. The LEGO Group's top ranking in the Reputation Institute's 2019 Global Corporate Responsibility Study reflects its commitment to citizenship, governance, and workplace ethics (The LEGO Group, 2019). Sustainable measures, such as investing $900 million in offshore wind farms and reaching a 100% renewable energy balance, demonstrate the company's commitment to environmental care. LEGO's purpose is to inspire children through play while effectively impacting the environment (Steers & Osland, 2019). Furthermore, long-term cost savings through energy efficiency and consumer trust, with 57% of consumers saying they would "definitely buy" LEGO products due to its CSR initiatives, demonstrate the economic benefits of sustainability (The LEGO Group, 2019). However, LEGO faces pressures that could encourage unethical behavior. The high costs of sustainability initiatives and operational complexities in reducing supply chain emissions create financial challenges (Steers & Osland, 2019)?. Additionally, competitive pressures from lower-cost competitors, such as Bandai Namco and Hasbro, could incentivize cost-cutting measures, potentially at the expense of sustainability or labor standards (Heatley, 2024)?. In regions with weaker regulatory frameworks, LEGO might also face temptation to shift production to countries with less stringent environmental or labor requirements (Steers & Osland)
