Problem 1
In this week's lecture, we reviewed the components of an ECE center. While you were most likely familiar with many of these components, perhaps there were others that you were unfamiliar with or some that you did not realize were important from the perspective of the ECE director or administrator.
After reviewing this week's lecture, in your initial post, please address the following:
Analyze the "ingredient," or element of the ECE center that has more importance than you realized before you read the lecture.
In other words, explain whether there is an ingredient that you view differently when thinking from the perspective of a director as compared to the perspective of a teacher or educator.
Problem 2
According to the Week 2 lesson, what is the most important ingredient of the ECE Center and why?
Problem 3
According to the Week 2 lesson, which element of the ECE center involves ordering, inventory, and regular safety checks? Why are ordering, inventory, and regular checks critical to the maintenance of this element?
Problem 4
Review the five curriculum models discussed in a PDF link within the Week 2 lesson. Which one do you believe you would choose for a center where you serve as director or administrator. Why?
Problem 5
Consider the information on mission statements included in the Week 2 lesson. Compose a sample mission statement that you would consider using if you were a director or administrator:

Problem 12
You are the assistant director for an 86-child capacity Early Childhood Center. You and your director are preparing for an accreditation check-in visit from your national accreditor. After your previous accreditation visit, you were charged with improving your performance in a few areas. This check-in visit is designed to demonstrate the progress you have made in these areas. In preparation for the check-in visit, your director has tasked you with collecting evidence and preparing documents to provide to the accreditors.
During the accrediting body's previous visit, your center was found to have a deficiency in Record Keeping and Parent Communication. Notably, the findings of the report were as follows:
In the two-year-old room, it was observed that a child was diagnosed with pink eye (conjunctivitis) but parents were not notified
In the infant room, it was found that some diaper changings and feedings during the PM shift had not been recorded in the journals
In the three-year-old room, it was found that some children who were in need of new toothbrushes had not had their families notified to provide the item
Using the documentation template (provided in Appendix A on page 10 of this document), compose a report of at least 500 words that directly explains and justifies the best practice steps your center will take to address these parent communication issues.
