Step 1. Review
Review each dimension of literacy: oral language, phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Step 2. Select
Select one text to read with your students for an entire week.
Step 3. Create
Use your state standards and information from the course material to create a five-day plan for shared reading appropriate to the K-3 grade level. Your plan must focus on a different dimension of literacy each day (1 each day for a total of 5 objectives). The dimensions of literacy include:
