Instructions: Put yourself in the school-age childs world and mind. As a school-age child you will write a reflection of what a quality school-age program experience would be for you. What would you look for when you enter the program? Would you like your time to be structured or not? Describe the approach to curriculum, activities and experiences you would like to see take place or what opportunities to participate or lead would you like to see available to you? Describe your favorite ECE and discuss why this individual is your favorite.

This can be done as a written paper and will include photos or drawings and examples with reflection and explanation. Your response will include:

1. Your definition of a guality school-age program. Remember to view quality through a school-age childs eyes. Include your age and gender to set the stage for the choices you've made and presented.

2. An explanation with each area of quality linked to your definition and which can include photos or drawings of examples of things you would expect to see that supports your school-age view of quality.

You will include a design of your ideal school-age space that supports your idea of a quality space and environment. Choose either the indoor space or the cutdoor space. You can draw a floor plan of your space or include a photo of one that you have been to or have viewed in a magazine (remember to include a reference). You may want to include a sketch or summary that shows the type of furnishings or equipment in each area and a list of materials you would like to see in use.
