Begin with a thesis sentence that encapsulates the main topic of the paper. -Address why the topic is important. -Define any needed terms for the reader (Type of technology/technologies discussed) -At the end of the introduction, announce the two main ideas, in order, that you will discuss in the body of the essay.

2. Section for Main Idea 1 (2-3 paragraphs)

Begin with a well-crafted synthesizing topic sentence that encapsulates Main Idea 1. -Relate what the sources say about this main idea (points of agreement, disagreement (if any), differences, different perspectives, different research findings, different groups studied, etc.) -Use transitions, author tags, and in-text quotes/citations as needed throughout. -Show the relationships and connections among the sources.

3. Section for Main Idea 2 (2-3 paragraphs)

Begin with a well-crafted synthesizing topic sentence that encapsulates Main Idea 2. -Relate what the sources say about this main idea (points of agreement, disagreement (if any), differences, different perspectives, different research findings, different groups studied, etc.) -Use transitions, author tags, and in-text quotes citations as needed throughout. -Show the relationships and connections among the sources.

4. Conclusion (1 paragraph)

Restate your main thesis in different words. Brief summary of the research you have studied and its importance.
