Question

Harold is a very stressed law student undertaking his law degree at Deakin University while trying to simultaneously work full-time. He is desperately trying to complete multiple assessment tasks in his law units just before they are due, having fallen behind in his study. He mentions to a friend that he is really under the pump and his friend suggests he chat to Martha, who is a few years ahead in her law degree and previously successfully completed the same units Harold is currently struggling with. Harold emails Martha who suggests Harold send through his assessment tasks so that Martha can maybe offer Harold some pointers - Harold does so. Martha replies that the facts in Harold's History of Law unit assessment task are exactly the same as when she previously completed the unit. Harold is pleased when Martha emails him the assessment task she submitted when undertaking the unit and tells him to 'feel free to use it'. Harold submits Martha's previous assessment task as his own, changing only the student details on the paper to reflect his own name. He also feels quite pleased that, because Martha sent him her work, he was able to easily help Danny, a fellow student currently undertaking the same unit, complete the assessment task, pointing out to Danny all of the issues that were raised in the assessment task, which the students were required to successfully identify in order to pass the assessment task. Harold does not see any problem with helping Danny out, even though one of the requirements of the assessment task is that it be completed by students individually.
