Assignment

The group project includes the following instructor provided projects which you can choose from:

1. Modern Tourism - building of complex resort properties to enhance tourism
2. An ecotourism facility on a mountainside

Assignment Description and Instructions: The group project is an exercise which mimics real world project activities. Students will be given a Caribbean case study and will be asked to create a project management plan. The project management plan is a useful document which plans and guides the activities that will take place during the project. The group project covers the areas of Project Integration Management, Project Scope, Time and Cost Management, Project Quality Management, Project Human Resources Management, Project Communications Management and Project Risk Management.

Each team should consist of five students who will each select one plan of their choice to create. The plan that is to be created is:

1. Risk Management Plan

You are to create a complete risk management plan on the topic Modern Tourism - building of complex resort properties to enhance tourism - An ecotourism facility on a mountainside

Risk Management plan should consist of the following. Methodology, Roles and Responsibilities, Budget, Timing, Risk Categories, Definitions of Probability and impact, Stakeholders tolerance, reporting and tracking.
