A project is shown below. The project consists of a set of data with three independent questions. The first question should ask you to create a histogram or bar graph for some variable categorized by age and split for men and women. This extends the idea of bar graphs because you will use the ages as the classes, but the height of your bars will be the average (mean) of the variable within each age bracket for men and for women. The most common error for this graph is having a bar for every single data point, rather than a single bar for men and a single bar for women within each age group. The second question will ask for a pie chart for some variable. The most common mistake for the second question is that people get stuck on splitting the data into men and women. For this question, when it does not ask you to separate men and women, it asks for a single pie chart for the frequency of the variable without regard to gender. The last question asks for basic central tendency and dispersion. For this, the only mistake some people seem to make is to possibly miss one of the measures of central tendency or dispersion. Or, occasionally someone will break the data down into categories from the prior
Statistics Individual Project Using Data Set 1
Create a bar graph using two different colors to represent the male and female categories. Use age to categorize and graph the average height.
Create a Pie chart to represent the age bracket of participants.
Compare males and females Cholesterol levels. Support your results by including all measures of central tendencies and measures of dispersion that we have covered in this course.
Group Homomorphism and Abelian Groups, Let phi: G ---> H be a group homomorphism. Show that phi[G] is abelian if and only if for all x, y in G, we have xyx^(-1)y^(-1) in ker(phi).
Find the upper & lower confidence limit.
A. Use vector techniques to prove that a triangle and its medial triangle have the same centroid, stating each step of the proof. Provide written justification for each step of your proof.
Compare the advantages and disadvantages of substitution and elimination methods with the matrix method to solve systems of linear equations and the relationship these have with matrix method solving.
Probability - birthday, What is the probability that at least 2 of the 435 members of the House of Representatives have the same birthday
Lisa participated in a triathlon in which she swam 3 miles ran 5 miles and then bicycled 10 miles. Lisa ran twice as fast as she swam and she cycled three times as fast as she swam.
There are many applications used in the area of solving systems of equations. For example, systems of equations can be used to find the optimal number of items to produce to ensure the highest profit of those particular items.
The acceleration due to gravity near the surface of Mars is 3.72ms^-2. A rock is thrown straight up from the surface with an initial velocity of 23ms^-2.
boolean algebric mulitiple choice question
Verify that 18^3 - 1^3 = 17* 7^3 and find a point on the curve x^3 + y^3 = 17 with rational coordinates.
Find the critical value for this hypothesis test.
Starting with a hypothetical population of 14,000 people and an even age distribution [1,000 in each age group from 1-5 to 66-70 years], suppose that the population initially has a total fertility rate of 2.0 and an average life span of 70 years.
