You and your colleagues are planning for an excursion to instil the value of curiosity in the children. Two of your colleagues recently migrated to Australia and come from an Indian family.

During the planning stage, you suggested that the children can visit the local zoo, but your colleagues commented that a visit to the zoo might pose a threat to the safety of the children. One of your colleagues also commented in a friendly tone that the local zoo is far and that the centre might have no means to transport all the children.

Your colleagues from an Indian family then suggested that the children can visit an Indian restaurant near the centre instead. They said that the food in the restaurant is delicious and that the children can learn about Indian culture through its cuisine. Your colleagues agreed with their suggestion and said that exposing children to other cultures would help them to develop more respect for other people who came from different cultures and backgrounds.
