Betty, who does not have a cognitive impairment, has an advanced care plan that states she does not want to be resuscitated or transferred to hospital. She has expressed a wish to be cared for in the facility, where she feels comfortable and safe. Betty's son, however, does not agree and wants her transferred to hospital for ongoing care.
