Case Study Analysis of a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Case Synopsis Canada Post Corporation is a crowned entity- owned and operated by the federal government of Canada. The Canada post workers are represented by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW. last agreement between Canada Post Corporation and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, Urban Postal Operations, expired January 31, 2018.
Key demands of CUPW for postal workers included job security, an end to forced overtime and overburdening, better health and safety measures, service expansion and equality for RSMCs. For a long time, Union could not reach a new agreement, the union began a series of rotating strikes across the country on October 22, 2018. These strikes resulted in Christmas parcel deliveries being delayed by 5-6 months in some cases, worsening of relationship between management and postal workers.
