Discussion Reply to this please: According to Bashforth (2019), organizational culture is the total of the way all think, interact, and behave. "It is the pervasive character of the business, through everyone's perceptions, language and actions" (p.8). Yes, culture can be managed. However, not in the same way other traditional systems and processes can be managed. Due to the many individualistic minds that make up behavior and thoughts, organizations may find it to be difficult to maintain culture management. I believe that culture can be managed by more indirect methods and various outlets to influence the total organization. Organizational culture can be managed through various indirect outlets. Managing culture includes strong leadership and team effort to ensure all within the organization share purpose and value (Tenney, 2023). The use of culture as a strategic control can be used in an organization's strategic management. According to Hofstede Insights news (n.d.), company culture and strategy are connected because the strategy aspect provides guidance, while the culture is what motivates. Improving an organization's culture may be part of a company's strategic plan.
