Occupational Health and Safety audits allow you to measure if your workplace activities about health and safety are meeting the standard equipment. To improve current strategies and to identify areas for improvement. A safe workplace not only reduces injuries, but also improves staff self-confidence, and reducing the workplace injurers that give your business great creditability and potential new clients and new staff.

OSH management system involves examining the organization's OSH policy, plan, and programs and determining how well the plans are implemented. During the audit, documents, records, and work practices are reviewed. This system supports organizations to strengthen OSH management and enables them to identify the areas for improvement.

In such a scenario, your group task is as follows

• Make a group of 4 members and act the role of an ‘Internal Audit Committee' for any one company/organization from the following sector in Oman.
• Manufacturing
• Oil and Gas
• Mining
• Construction
• Hospital
• Banking Sector
• Higher Education Institution
• Education Institution

• Conduct an Internal Audit on Safety and Health-related to the selected company.
• Your group is required to visit the company website, review the recent annual report of the company and/or review recent newspaper articles related to the health and safety aspect of the selected sector.
• After completion of the auditing and researching, your group is required to submit the audit report on OSH.
• The report should be presented to top management in the form of a poster to review on OSH MS of the company
• You need to provide an appropriate recommendation for further improvement and/or strengthen the OSH management system for employees and other stakeholders of the company.
