Take a minute to think about what you have learned this week. What main concept, theory and/or idea did you find particularly interesting or challenging and why? Did any of the coursework connect to your prior knowledge or experience with the topics? Both of these chapters really intrigued me honestly. I was very interested in learning more about group therapy as well as the overall ethics of counseling. I learned a lot about myself by comparing my beliefs and opinions to the ethical practices of being a helper. Group counseling is a very interesting concept to me, because personally I prefer one on one counseling but I learned a lot more about the benefits of group counseling and how it can help certain people.
