My Teacher Grades it accordingly to the work shown and the answer as well. She's very picky. She basically wants to see how the problem was solved so she can follow the steps and not just the answer. She also makes sure that the variables are clearly defined as well.
For this assignment you can use the Lingo or Excel Solver Program to determine the optimal solution for the linear program problem.
You are planning to take a group of children to the zoo for a trip. There are many exhibits to visit, but you only have 2 'A hours so you won't be able to see all of the animals. Also, some of the exhibits cost extra money to see, and you want to keep the extra cost of the trip below $10 per kid. It costs $7 to see the zookeepers feed the lions, $5 to see the seals perform tricks, and $3 to see a presentation with various Birds of Prey. To help you decide which exhibits to plan on visiting, you have asked each of the children to rank their interest in each animal on a scale from one to ten. Below is a table of the different exhibits, how much time each will take, and the average interest ranking given by the children.
