Scenario

Mrs. L is a newly admitted client to Sunny Days Special Care Home. She is 78 years old and has arthritis and multiple sclerosis which can affect her mobility day to day. Some days she can walk without assistance and others, she requires a wheelchair to get around. She is also in the middle stages of dementia and requires assistance with her activities of daily living as she is forgetful. With cueing and guidance, she can still do many tasks herself. She has been very resistive to assistance with tub bathing even though she is not able to complete this task.

Independently anymore. Her daughters tell the staff that their mother is a very private person and is not comfortable with others seeing her naked. She has very specific taste in clothes and likes to wear carefully coordinated tops and pants with matching socks, earrings and a scarf. Her hair has always been kept meticulously groomed.
