A 68-year-old Asian male presented to his primary care provider for an annual exam. On physical exam, he had an abnormal digital rectal exam with a nodule occupying most of the right side of the prostate. PSA was elevated at 6.4. Patient was referred to the urologist. 6/20/23 Patient Consult at Urology Clinic: Patient presents with an abnormal DRE and elevated PSA. Patient has been healthy with no medical problems. DRE is abnormal with nodule confined to right lobe of prostate. Patient will return to the clinic in two days for a biopsy. 6/22/23 Prostate biopsy at the Urology Clinic: positive for adenocarcinoma Patient admitted to Southwest Hospital. Insurance: Medicare. Race: Asian. Ethnicity: Non-Hispanic. 6/27/23 Prostatectomy: adenocarcinoma confined to prostate gland with negative margins. Seminal vesicles and 4 lymph nodes negative.
