The Plutonium reprocessing nowadays, though, is done only in some countries like France, Russia and Britain. The countries that have nuclear plants, like Australia, Japan, and so on, send their atomic waste by ship to those plutonium reprocessing centers. As well the inherent risks of the storage of nuclear waste, plutonium reprocessing brings the risks of the transport of radioactive material across the oceans. The "nuclear ships" commonly travel near the coast of many countries posing danger to their populations.
