Metabolism refers to chemical changes which absorbed food undergoes within the body cells. Body metabolizes carbohydrate, fat and protein to supply energy to the body. Metabolism is a continuous process.

Metabolism is the set of chemical reactions that occur in living organisms in order to maintain life. These processes allow organisms to grow and reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments.

Metabolism is series of changes involving the building up and breaking down of substances for use in the body.
