Q. Library of functions of parallel virtual machine?

PVM offers a library of functions libpvm3.a, that application programmer calls. Every function has some specific effect in the PVM. But all this library really offers is a convenient manner of asking the local pvmd to do some work. The pvmd then behaves as the virtual machine. Both PVM and pvmd library constitute PVM system.
