The atomic number of argon is 18. Will argon tend to form bonds with other elements? Describe your answer.

Argon will not tend to form bonds with other elements. With an atomic number of 18, argon must have 18 electrons: 2 in the first energy level, 8 in the second, and 8 in the third. As the orbitals of its outermost energy level are filled, argon is chemically stable.
