-In nonstrategic importance

-Diseased maxillary second molars with no opposing tooth , or with an opposing tooth in class l or lll occlusion that articulates with another tooth ,

-Hopelessly unrestorable , retaining the tooth

-where expensive procedures with an unknown prognosis

  • The last decision if it's questionable and I can't do conventional or nonsurgical retreatment --->Do extraction
  • if the pt. complain and I can't reach the proper treatment or if the prognosis questionable or tooth has a problem ---> Do extraction
  • we should take decision with the pt. by informed consent
