Where does hematopoiesis occur?

Hematopoiesis happens in the bone marrow (mainly within flat bones), where erythrocytes, leukocytes and platelets are made, and in the lymphoid tissue, responsible for the maturation of leukocytes and establish in the thymus, spleen and lymphnodes.
