When was PDDI developed
The PDDI interface was developed in connection with the ICAM project which was funded by the Air Force in order to improve the manufacturing methods in the aircraft industry. The essential goal of this product was the creation of an interface between CAD and CAM. PDDI is design-oriented, it provides a formal specification of a product model and its sub models.
