Explain the Semi-Automatic Extension of screw conveyor

"Semi-Automatic Extension of screw conveyor as per the screed width by telescopic-tube"

Procedure:

The extension of auger with respect to the screed unit is done by telescopic tube. In this mechanism is the modification of the auger main shaft and extra auger shaft. The auger main shaft is made a single unit by the casting instead of segmented auger is mount on the main shaft as well as extra shaft.

Operation:

When up to paving operation is 2.5m then there is not required the extension of screw conveyor. but the more then 2.5m then extension is done by telescopic tube in the screed unit it is extended automatic by hydraulically and end of the telescopic tube in screed ids mounted a inverse L-type plate and other end of plate is connected to the inner auger shaft and mount to the pedestal cover inside of this axial thrust bearing is provided for rolling if shafts.

Whole operation is done by automatic but only mount of extra auger in inner shaft done by nut and bolts in two end of inner shaft with two half split auger then this reason this mechanism is called semi automatic operation carried out.
