Oxidoreductases
To this group (EC  1) beIongs all enzymes catalyzing oxidation-reduction reactions. Common  names  include dehydrogenases, oxidazes,  reductases  and  catalases.  The substrate (AH2)  that  is oxidized is  regarded  as a hydrogen donor (AH2 + B = A + BH?). The  recommended name  is  dehydrogenase  but,  as an alternative,  the  term reductase is used. The name ,oxidase  is restricted to enzymes which exclusively use 02  as the  hydrogen acceptor.
