Q. What are the Specific Issues with plant Layout?

There are a large number of regulations and related material that impact the operating plant. API (American Petroleum Institute) Guidelines, ANSI (American National Standards Institute), ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and ISO (Internationals Standard Organization) have the widest global acceptance and adoption. Many of the ANSI, ASME and API Guidelines contain detailed lists of additional Standards impacting materials, construction etc.

It is noted that depending on the location(s) of the facility; there will be local Region or Country specific regulations and requirements that will require compliance. These typically focus on environmental and safety issues.
