The forest biomes of the world have been classified into the three major categories: coniferous forest, tropical forest and temperate forest.

Categories of forests are as follow:

  • Coniferous forest
  • Temperate deciduous forest
  • Temperate evergreen forest
  • Temperate rain forests
  • Tropical rain forests
  • Tropical seasonal forests
  • Subtropical rain forests
