Silver point:

-    Uses of silver point: ease of handing and placement, ductility, radiopacity,and have  some antibacterial activity.
-    Lack of acceptable 3D seal of the canal system.
-    Produce a plug in the apical constriction while not sealing the accessory canals.
-    Corrode over time contact with tissue fluids and certain chemicals used in endodontics including sodium hypochlorite and some sealers.
-    Corrosion occurs mainly at the apical and coronal portions result in loss of apical seal.
-    Cytotoxicity of corrosion product corrosion such as silver sulfide, silver sulfate, silver carbonate, and silver amine hydrate.

-    Extended point within pulp chamber.
-    Sealing:
-    Type of cement
-    Apical retention
-    Chronic leakage
