Psychrometric properties - design project, Computer Graphics

Assignment Help:

Read the next page and work through the steps:

a.  Select a location (anywhere in the world) and research the typical weather (temperature, barometric pressure, and humidity).  Research how much water is contained in the air if the humidity is 100% at the temperature values that you found.  (Hint:  CATT3 can do this for you if you go to Tables/Substances and select Psychrometric Properties.)

b.  Split up the workload of researching the various evaporative coolers.  Each student should research one and report back to the group.  Select one to continue to step (3).

c.  Add a second law analysis to step (2).  (Suggestion:  consider the availability or exergy of your system.)

d.  In step (4) you must come up with some sort of modification to the design.  Modify your analysis to decide if this will improve the performance (1st or 2nd law) of your plan.

Submit a memo (1 - 2 pages) summarizing your findings.  Include a one sentence description of the designs that you researched and did not use.  Include a more complete description of the design you analyzed.  The memo should contain qualitative and quantitative answers to the questions raised.  Attach any calculations and a diagram of your best design.
