Objective of the Radiographic Technique

The ball bearings are opaque and their diameter have to be measured with the help of vernier caliper prior to use. (2 to 5 mm diameter bearings can be used) On the radiograph the radioopaque image of the ball bearing undergoes magnification both in the horizontal and vertical dimension which varies from machine to machine and the location of the image site within the panoramic xray. This is due to the inherent disadvantage of the technique
